This double album explores arrangements and improvisations on tunes from the musical "Piece of Mind" which Sweeting composed with librettist/lyricist Geoffrey Goldberg in 2018. Vol 1 (tracks1-15) features instrumental lines in place of vocal ones. Vol 2 (tracks 16-25) stretches out in varying jazz directions on some of the same tunes.

It might be thought of as a musical odyssey that sets out from the home of an intimate chamber musical, visits the shores of soft-shoe dance, boogie-woogie, New Orleans jazz, cool jazz, bossa nova and finally lands in the comfort of rhythm and blues.
